Ingredients:
1 can of cherry pie filling (or any other suitable fruit filling)
1 can of crushed pineapple
2 sticks of butter
1 bag of shredded coconut
1 bag of pecans
1 box of cake mix (yellow or white)
Add the cherry pie filling and the crushed pineapple in order. Spread each evenly in the bottom of the pan. Next, add the coconuts and pecans, but save some for later. Spread the cake mix on top of the fruit, but don't follow the directions on the box. If you did, you blew it, so you're better off throwing everything away and starting over.
Take the two sticks of butter, cut them up, and lay evenly over cake mix. As the butter melts, it will make the cake. Bake at 350° for one hour. At the halfway point or later, put another layer of coconut and pecans on top. The hour is non-negotiable, so watch the time.
When the cake is done, don't bother to poke with a stick, because, if you did it right, it will be wet with the juice with the fruit. Wait for the cake to cool, and serve in small portions, so nobody will get hurt trying to eat what would appear to be a regular sized portion. Enjoy!

Here is the recipe I use whenever I make it. I also have learned to spray the inside of the pot & lid with Pam or coat it well with vegetable oil (butter/margarine would work as well I would think), it makes cleanup much easier.
Ingredients:
1/3 cup unpopped popcorn
3 tablespons cooking oil
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
Start out by spraying the inside of the pot and lid which you are using with Pam, or coat it well with vegetable oil. Next combine popcorn and water, then set aside. In a 3 quart sauce cup, heat oil. Stir sugar into the hot oil. Add the popcorn and water, then cover. Pop the corn quickly over high heat, while constantly shaking the pan. At the end of the peak of popping, remove the pan from heat to prevent sugar from burning. If you don't, the popcorn will become hard and sticky. This recipe should make about 6 cups.
